I was trying to get language tool to work with Texstudio. There is still some problems. I noticed that, if I open languagetool.jar 4.4 standalone version (windows 7) and check the following sentence: “Outages is a real indication.” No suggestions will come up. It only shows “Starting check in English”. If I use a simple sentence like “He are my friend”, there will be suggestions, which indicates LT is working to some extent.
Both sentences are clearly wrong. If I paste this sentence to the website grammar checker, two critical errors will show. How come the results are different?

Are you saying the stand-alone version produces a different result? That can be the case because the online version is always the latest one, so there can be small differences to the latest release (which was 6 weeks ago).
