.languagetool.cfg and Mac computers

errorColors lets a user specify the background colours for different types of error (https://github.com/languagetool-org/languagetool/blob/master/languagetool-standalone/CHANGES.txt). The colours are specified in the .languagetool.cfg file.

errorColors works fine for me with Windows. But, someone asked me about Macos 10.11.6. He cannot find .languagetool.cfg, thus, I have 2 questions:

  • Does LT use .languagetool.cfg with the Mac operating system?
  • If yes, what is the default location?

It should be in /Users/xyz where xyz is the user name. Note that the file might be hidden by default.
