Si tengo un texto con etiquetas de formato tipo
…
, las etiquetas las modifica, cambia > por
>
e incluso desaparece el </ del comienzo de la etiqueta de cierre.

Se mi havas etikedita teksto
…
etikedoj modifas, ŝanĝoj > per
>
kaj eĉ malaperas la </ komenco de la fino etikedon.

If I have a tagged text format as
…
tags modifies, changes > by
>
and even disappears the </ the beginning of the end tag.

Podrías añadir una opción para ignorar todo aquello que vaya entre los signos < y >
