Not detecting some errors

Languagetool is not detecting some very obvious errors.

For example: “Did the application worked?”

This should be “Did the application work?” but Languagetool ignores it.

We’re always looking for help from English native speakers - currently,
nobody on the development team is an English native speaker. If you
would like to help that would be great. Here’s our introduction on how
to write rules:

It isn’t that difficult, and you can always ask for help here or on the
mailing list.

Yes, it’s not that difficult. I’ve written three for style, one of which has been included for the next release. It’s quite satisfying. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. If you have questions or meet with difficulties, just ask.

Hello

I too was surprised that LT doesn’t pick up on this mistake so I tested it and yes, you are right.

Having said that, and as Daniel says, it depends on who is writing rules and for what languages.

I guess that as English is a dying language only spoken by a few people…

I reckon the people who write the rules are naturally more concern
about errors that they themselves make, or common ones they see
others make. Well, actually I’m speaking for myself. If you are
concern about a certain rule, why not create them for LT?
