LanguageTool 1.8 has been released today. As usual, it is available for
download at http://www.languagetool.org.
Changes include:
- Spell checking is now included (not used in LibreOffice/OpenOffice)
- Many updates for the error detection rules for German, English, Catalan, Italian, French, Breton, Polish, Esperanto
- Initial support for Greek and Portuguese with a few rules
- Support for language variants like British English, American English, Swiss German, ...
- Several bug fixes
Please see CHANGES.txt for a complete
list of changes. If no major problems show up, we will soon enable the
extension manager update so you can update LanguageTool from within the
extension manager of LibreOffice and OpenOffice.
