Announcement: LanguageTool 5.0

I’m pleased to announce the release of LanguageTool 5.0. As usual, it is available at languagetool.org. Changes include:

  • Error detection updates for Arabic, Catalan, Dutch, English, Esperanto, French, German, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, and Ukrainian
  • Internal bug fixes and updates

A more detailed list of changes is available in the change log.

The update from within LibreOffice (Tools → Extension Manager) is not possible yet. It will be turned on in about a week, unless new bugs appear.

Version 5.0.1 has been released just now for LibreOffice/OpenOffice with a crash fixed (ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException · Issue #3170 · languagetool-org/languagetool · GitHub). The stand-alone version is not affected, so there’s no update for it.

Hi,
I am using Version 5.0 but facing one issue while I am sending the bulk load for my application.

java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not check sentence (language: English (US)): ‘sample’
I tried with multiple words. While I am hitting my api manually(one request at a time I am not getting any error) but every time I am trying to run the bulk load I am seeing this type of error intermittently. Sometime I get the success response and sometime this exception occurs.

can someone please help me with this…
