I use the command line version (and it’s awesome!). There is only one thing: I would love to have two outputs (in different files or whatever): The normal result, and the version of the text which is returned with the --apply argument. So I can go through the changes but read the explanations when unsure. Any ideas how I can accomplish this without running it twice?
Hi there!
Thank you for sharing your idea with us.
We’d like to look into this, but it would be helpful to know on which surface you are using LanguageTool (the Browser extension, website, desktop app).
Could you please let us know?
Thank you!
Kind regards,
Eline
I use the command line version from shell. So I have to run it twice, one time with --apply and one without and would like to have both results from one run. Maybe it’s possible somehow.
Best Regards and thank you in advance
Hi there,
Thank you for your patience over the past months! I’m here with an update from one of our engineers:
The CLI tool is actually part of our open-source project and isn’t something we officially support as a company. That said, I took a quick look at the code, and it seems like the changes you’re suggesting might be relatively straightforward.
If you’re comfortable with it, feel free to open a pull request with your proposed changes — I’d be happy to review it. Alternatively, you can open an issue on our GitHub repository here: GitHub · Where software is built, and perhaps another contributor will be able to take a look."
I hope this helps! Please let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.
