I downloaded LanguageTool and added it to the extensions of OpenOffice. It is enabled, but I can’t get anything to show up in OpenOffice. I have the most recent version of Java. I’m not sure how to view the Language Tool. There are no blue underlines showing up with mistakes. I also receive no error messages.
If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

—I restarted OpenOffice.
—I made sure I have the most up to date Java.
—In Tools under Options, the Java running is listed as Oracle Corporation 1.7.0_25
—The Language Tool extension is enabled in the extension manager.
I receive no error messages while running OpenOffice. I have no other extensions installed, other than what came with OpenOffice.
I am using the most recent version of OpenOffice and Language Tool 2.1.
My computer runs Windows XP.

This worked for me. disable Lightproof grammar checker.en
Then disable the language tool plugin.
close Libreoffice or OpenOffice.
Restart either.
Then re-enable the language tool plugin.
Which language are you using and which error is in your document that should be found but isn’t? Is your document set to the language that the document actually is written in?
