Similar to the Firefox addon, will there be a Chrome extension released in the future?

As far es I know, nobody from our development team is working on that, but contributions are very welcome. I think a Chrome extension would be similar to the Firefox one so you could use that as a starting point. Would you like to work on this?
I doubt that my knowledge about browser extensions is sufficient.
However, I can at least have a look at the code.
Where can I find the source of the Firefox addon?
