[en] is hire than → is higher than

Here is a rule suggestions for English (not sure how to make rule suggestions these days).

I stumbled upon this mistake, currently not detected by LanguageTool:

“The salary is hire (→ higher) than average.”

It should be simple to add a rule in the English grammar.xml to detect it.
The rule should not trigger false errors in correct sentences such as:
“It is better to hire than to fire.”

It’s already found by the statistics rule, so I guess you tested locally without ngrams?

hire

Good to know it’s found with ngram. I indeed did not use ngram,
like most users I suppose. So adding a rule would still make sense
in my opinion.
