Hello !
It would be nice to get the synonyms feature in French and eventually the reformulation tool, those are really powerful in English and I can’t wait to get those in French.
Is the feature already in development ?

Synonyms should work for French, actually (they are accessible by double-clicking a word, but this needs to be activated first by clicking the “LT” in the browser’s toolbar):
