I keep getting a message that a Java exception has occurred when trying to install the standalone.
I have windows 7 premium, version 6.1.7601
system model VPCCW21FD
system type x64
I have just reinstalled the latest version of Java and it does not help.
Thank you

Could you send a screen shot of the error message please? How exactly
do you try to start the standalone application?

When you reply, there’s an “Insert Image” button above the text field.
I do not see that on my screen. Thanks

I haven’t seen that before, so we need to collect a bit more
information… what happens if you type this in a command line window?
java -version
And what happens if you type this:
java -jar languagetool-standalone.jar
(you first need to switch to the folder with the
languagetool-standalone.jar file)
Also, does it help if you copy the while LanguageTool-2.1 folder
directly to c:\LanguageTool-2.1 and start it from there?
