Get message : A Java exception has occurred, when triying to install standalone

(ghemmings) #1

I keep getting a message that a Java exception has occurred when trying to install the standalone.

I have windows 7 premium, version 6.1.7601
system model VPCCW21FD
system type x64

I have just reinstalled the latest version of Java and it does not help.

Thank you

Could you send a screen shot of the error message please? How exactly
do you try to start the standalone application?

Regards
Daniel

When you reply, there's an "Insert Image" button above the text field.

I haven't seen that before, so we need to collect a bit more
information... what happens if you type this in a command line window?

java -version

And what happens if you type this:

java -jar languagetool-standalone.jar
(you first need to switch to the folder with the
languagetool-standalone.jar file)

Also, does it help if you copy the while LanguageTool-2.1 folder
directly to c:\LanguageTool-2.1 and start it from there?
