could some one pl guide me to get this tool installed in my desktop. I have down loaded it from site and got a zip folder, How to install it in system ?
Hi, there’s not much installation to do: just unzip the *.zip file and then start languagetool.jar, usually by double clicking it. If that doesn’t work, it probably means you don’t have Java 8 installed.
on unzipping i am getting list of files and not language tool jar. does it mean I do not have jave in my system?
I’m not sure which file you downloaded, but when you download https://languagetool.org/download/LanguageTool-3.2.zip and unzip it, it will contain languagetool.jar.
OP, search for the language jar file in the zip file. I just tried to execute and it’s asking for a JAVA program. Do I need java to run it on a standalone desktop?
