Is the http api available as a web service? If not, why? As a user, I am confused as to why I should have to download the app and run an http server on my machine instead of just connecting to one over the internet.
Yes, the http api is available at https://languagetool.org:8081/. Running a local server is recommanded for privacy reasons.
