LanguageTool for Desktop.app is not open anymore

I keep getting a pop-up message with the Text “The application “LanguageTool for Desktop.app” is not open anymore.” after booting the Mac (Sonoma 14.1.1). Why is this?

There are 2 apps installed on the Mac: LanguageTool and LanguageTool for Desktop. Why are there 2 apps?
