I’m using Libreoffice 3.5.4.2 in Xubuntu and have just installed LanguageTool. It’s not working, and I can’t uninstall it either. Any suggestions what I am doing wrong (I’ve used it before with no problems!).

Have you already checked our list with commons problems and their
solutions? Support : LanguageTool
If that doesn’t help, what exactly doesn’t work? For example, does LT run
but simply won’t find errors?

It’s not finding errors but I am not sure to tell whether it’s running or not. How do I do that?

Please type “This is a a test.”, set the language to English, turn on spell
and grammar checking (the icon with the underlined “ABC”), and see if the
“a a” gets a blue underline. If it doesn’t, can you call the LanguageTool
configuration from the menu?

It’s not marking it up at all. Where do I find the LanguageTool thing in the menu? (sorry for being dim!).

It’s under Tools → LanguageTool
it’s definitely not showing up there.

I seem to have got it going. I had a Google and found this:
and installed it and then reinstalled LT. The orignal LT i installed is still there but I have one that is working now so I am happyy
