LT extension - input fields

Hello,
is there a way to allow LT to work on input fields ? (It says on “multi-line” fields in the welcome info, but “input” are “mono-line”).
It would be a nice option for our teams. (We are using a home made CMS so adding an attribute could be an option for us).

If you have control over the HTML, adding data-lt-active="true" to the input should activate LT.

Is there any option to by default check grammar on inputs without having access to the HTML?
Just use it in all sites, like happens with textareas.
