Overleaf update

Hello dear team,

Its long time ago that support of Overleaf has worked. I wrote already a letter to Overleaf and to you (LanguageTool) — and both says: “please contact Overleaf→LanguageTool; LanguageTool→Overleaf”.
Maybe you can contact them by self and try to integrate your service? I think it’s a win-win situation!

Thank you for advice! :hugs:

Starting with version 4.0, our browser add-on now supports overleaf.com.

Hi,

LT is still not working with Overleaf. I use LT in Firefox running Version 4.0.3.
Is there anything i have to adjust?

Thank you for advice

Could you share a document where it doesn’t work?

Here is a Screenshot from Using Overleaf with LT in Firefox.

There is no LT-Icon inside the input-box as I am used to it

Thanks a lot

That’s strange, as it works with all the documents I have tested with (at least the icon shows up). Could you share a link to the document for me to reproduce the problem?

I´d like to send the document in a private Message. Is that possible?

Sure, you can email it to support at languagetoolplus.com.

I see the issue now: our add-on activates itself on overleaf.com, but you’re using an Overleaf instance on a different domain. We’ll see if we can fix that in a future release.

So I will use overleaf.com

Thank you for advice

Hi there, is this already fixed and what Overleaf version do we need to enable LT?

The latest add-on from the stores (Firefox, Chrome) should work with Overleaf. I just tried it and it seems to work. Please let us know if it doesn’t work for you.

Yes indeed, it’s working with the current Overleaf version. Unfortunately we are bound to Overleaf version 4.2.0, and I’m unsure if that will work. Do you know the minimal required version?

We only test with the web version of Overleaf, not with the on-premise one. So I’m sorry I can’t tell you which Overleaf version works.
