Passive Voice Rule gone

Hi,

I was using LanguageTool about 1 year ago for a work at uni.
I was mainly using it to detect passive voice.
But now I wanted to use LanguageTool again and find that this option does not get checked anymore.

In this forum entry it is said that the option did not exist, but I know for sure I used it.

On this site you can even get the rule as XML.

Is this feature premium now?
Or how can I activate it.

The rule has a default="off" attribute (i.e. it’s off), as it turned out to be too annoying for most users. I’m sorry, I don’t think there’s a way to turn it on without modifying the grammar.xml file with that rule.

Can I fix this by running lt on my device locally via docker and editing the file?

You can run the server locally as it is documented here, or use Docker (linked here, not officially supported by us). You then need to point your browser add-on to that server.

Thank you!
I followed this guide to launch my local server.
And then edited the according grammar.xml file (org/languagetool/rules/en/grammar.xml) and commented out line 130412.
