Self hosted server - internet access possible?

I’ve set up a self hosted server the works perfectly when accessing locally or on my local intranet, but even when launching with the --public option trying to remotely connect via my IP address it does not seem to work. Is it possible to connect to a self hosted language tool instance from outside my local network? I’ve tried forwarding the necessary port, and opening the ports in the firewall already.

With --public, the server should be accessible from outside. Could you send the full command you use to start the LT server?

Edit: I was able to get it sorted. It was a problem with how I was doing the port fowarding. All is well!

Now I just need to figure out the best way to get my traffic encrypted.
