TeXstudio asks for 'it_IT' but only 'it' available

(mvalle) #1

I’m calling LT server from TeXstudio with my file language set to it_IT. But LT server complains:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: ‘it-IT’ is not a language code known to LanguageTool.
I’m running LanguageTool 3.1 (build date: 2015-09-28 10:14 on Win 7 64bits.
Any simple solution to map it to ‘it_IT’?
Thanks for your help!

I’m not sure, this is something the TeXstudio developers can better comment on. I think LanguageTool’s behavior hasn’t changed recently when it comes to language codes.

I suppose that TexStudio developers wrongly assumed that all languages were like in English (en-US, en-CA, etc.).
